TEAMSTERS LOCAL 783 MISSION STATEMENT

The mission of Teamsters Local 783 is to:

(1) Represent, protect, and enhance the wages, benefits and working conditions of rank-and-file members;

(2) Unite into one labor union all workers in similar Teamster core industries, who are eligible for membership,

(3) Engage in organizing and outreach campaigns designed to broaden our base and provide the benefits and protections of the Teamsters Union to all American working men and women;

(4) Provide ongoing educational advancement and training for Stewards, Members, and Officers;

(5) Advance and promote the principle of free collective bargaining, the rights of workers, and the security and welfare of all people through political, educational and community programs;

(6) Engage in cultural, civic, legislative, community, political, fraternal, educational, charitable, social and other activities, which further the interests of the Union and its membership, directly or indirectly.
